She began in the &#8220;Roots Music&#8221; program in Stone County&#8217;s schools, in which Ozark Folk Center musicians teach old-time music and instruments as an addition to the standard music program.  Adept in traditional styles on both fiddle and banjo, Emily immediately agreed to do a project with me.  We went into Joe Jewell&#8217;s studio here in Mountain View and turned out &#8220;The Blackest Crow.&#8221;  Since then, she finished high school, took a fiddling trip to Scotland, and started a college honors program.
