A leading citizen of our Mountain View, AR music community, Joe is a multi-instrumentalist and a master of the hammered dulcimer, proprietor of the “Little Crooked House” recording studio, and key member of the Ozark Folk Center’s contract performing group. But for many of our rising young players, Joe’s best role has been mentor, cheerleader, and like-family friend.

Mr. Joe Jewell is a friend to all of us. Even us “Wanna be” musicians.
Joe is certainly a great mentor and encourager of young and older musicians.
I have enjoyed every lesson I have had ( Hammered Dulcimer ) in Mt. View under Joe’s instruction. Joe is a great teacher, and a great street musician. He is knowledgeable and enjoys sharing and helping. I always look forward to going to Mt. View…. and seeing Joe.
