I’m revising my professional development teacher workshops, looking forward to more of these in 2015. Using my Arkansas Stories songs as a point of departure, I try to encourage teachers to engage their students in storytelling by any means from the arts to information technology – an avenue opened to me by my songwriting. Check “contact” to write to me if you’d like more information and “The Music” page to hear some of those songs.
A leading citizen of our Mountain View, AR music community, Joe is a multi-instrumentalist and a master of the hammered dulcimer, proprietor of the “Little Crooked House” recording studio, and key member of the Ozark Folk Center’s contract performing group. But for many of our rising young players, Joe’s best role has been mentor, cheerleader, and like-family friend.
